Dr. Afsaneh Derakhshan graduated from California State University, Fullerton where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Health and Fitness promotion. After a few years of personal training she decided to continue her education and attend Chiropractic school. Dr. Derakhshan continued to be passionate about health and fitness and discovered a joy in CrossFit. She earned her level one CrossFit certification which allowed her to be a coach while in school. During her time at Southern California University of Health Sciences she served as President of the Rehab to Performance club on campus. Dr. Derakhshan graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences, where she earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic. While in school she studied multiple facets of treatment styles including rehabilitation, sports medicine, pediatrics, disc injuries, and pre/post-natal care. Dr. Derakhshan did her clinical hours at California State University, Northridge where she was a part of the sports medicine team working on Division One and Olympic athletes. Dr. Derakhshan is certified in Rock Tape (athletic taping), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and The Webster (pregnancy) Technique. She uses various movement assessments including Active Life RX and The Functional Movement Screen. Dr. Derakhshan prides her care on movement based treatments, she creates an anti-fragile space for you to thrive and achieve longevity, strength, and wellness.
